These terms govern your use of osirisindustries.net and Osiris Compute, which are operated by Osiris Industries LLC ("Osiris", "we", "us"), a Louisiana limited liability company. By using the site or the compute grid, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

What we provide

This website presents information about our work. Osiris Compute is an open source distributed computing system that pools a circle of ordinary devices into shared capacity. We offer it as a free public grid you can open in a browser, and as private deployments for businesses on their own hardware.

Using Osiris Compute

• It is provided free and as is. The public grid is a shared, experimental utility. We do not promise it will always be available, fast, or fit for a particular purpose.
• Joining a circle shares your device. While you take part in a circle, your device contributes computation and network to the shared workload. You can leave at any time by closing the page.
• Acceptable use. Do not use the grid or the site to do anything illegal, to process unlawful content, to attack, overload, or interfere with others or with the network, to disrupt a circle for other participants, or to work around the way the tool is meant to be used. We may remove access from anyone who does.
• Use it at your own risk. Because the grid is experimental and runs across independent devices, you are responsible for how you use it and for anything you choose to run on it.

Open source and license

The Osiris Compute engine is released as open source under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3.0 (AGPL-3.0). Your use of the source code is governed by that license, which is available with the code at github.com/osiris-industries/osiris-compute. These terms govern your use of our hosted website and public grid. They do not replace or limit the rights the AGPL grants you in the code itself.

Intellectual property

Except for the open source code, which is covered by its license, and any third party materials, the content of this website, including its text, design, and the Osiris Industries name and marks, belongs to Osiris Industries LLC. Please do not copy or reuse the site content or our brand without permission.

What you send us

When you submit information through our contact form, you confirm that you have the right to share it. We handle that information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

The website and the services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. This includes any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Osiris Industries LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the site, the compute grid, or your reliance on anything we publish. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us, which for the free website and public grid is zero.

Indemnification

You agree to hold Osiris Industries LLC harmless from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the site or the grid or your breach of these terms.

Our site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and your continued use means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Louisiana.
